Nazir Afzal resigns as region's top prosecutor after being CLEARED of sending 'inappropriate text' to defendant

Nazir Afzal was appointed to this role in 2011. In 2010, the Muslim Council of Britain was saying that grooming gangs were a "racist myth". Only a Muslim would have been allowed to be the person who turned around decades of the CPS refusing to bring prosecutions. No Kufaar would have been allowed to do this.

THE head of the Crown Prosecution Service for the north west has resigned after being CLEARED of alleged impropriety.

An investigation was conducted after allegations that Nazir Afzal, OBE, one of Britain’s highest-profile prosecutors, sent a text message to a defendant in a Manchester court case.

He has resigned but the CPS insist his decision to go has nothing to do with the unfounded allegation.

The resignation will be effective from the end of March.

The region’s top prosecutor has been in the spotlight for his high-profile comments on child sexual exploitation and grooming.

A CPS spokesman said: “We are continuing to reduce the number of staff employed across the organisation and Nazir Afzal is leaving the Service as part of this ongoing drive for efficiency.

"This is entirely unrelated to any issue of conduct and we are satisfied that there has been no impropriety on the part of Mr Afzal.”

Mr Nazir took up his post in 2011.

His staff received an email earlier this week saying it had always been his intention to step down in 2015.

In the four-line email, Mr Afzal said there was ‘no secret reason’ why he was leaving after 25 years with the CPS.

He was also a guest speaker at a function at The Palace Hotel last week where he announced he was leaving.

He was responsible for all criminal prosecutions across Greater Manchester, Lancashire, and Cumbria.

He led about 700 lawyers, legal staff, and administrators.

After studying law in Birmingham, he qualified as a solicitor and worked in private practice until he joined the CPS in 1991.

He began his CPS career in central London and has prosecuted and advised on many high profile cases.

He worked in frontline management roles in London before being appointed as Sector Director for CPS West London in 2003.

Before moving to the North West as Chief Crown Prosecutor he had a national role as CPS Director for Communities.

Nazir has pioneered work to tackle honour-based violence and forced marriage, initially bringing this issue to the top of the public agenda through a CPS conference in 2004.

He has the national CPS lead on tackling these crimes and on tackling Violence Against Women (domestic violence, rape and other violent offences in which women are predominantly the victims).

Nazir was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s New Years Honours List in 2005 for his public service and involvement with the local community and was named Legal Personality of the Year by the Society of Asian Lawyers, which represents around 15,000 professionals.

In 2007, he received the CPS Public Servant of the Year award, the UK Government’s Justice Award and the Daily Mirror newspaper ‘People’s Award’, voted for by readers.

In recent years he has also received the Law Society/Bar Council Mentoring award and was selected for the Asian Power 100 along with the Muslim Power 100 list.

The MEN was trying to contact Mr Afzal.

Why Muslims Kill For Islam

The book has now been re-printed and customers all over the world can now buy Mohammed's Koran (the No.1 best-seller banned by Amazon).

If you wonder if the book Mohammed's Koran is for you, read the 100s of five-star reviews the book received in its first few months on sale.

Amazon banned the sale of the only book on Islam that proves Islam has been a terrorist ideology since Year 1 of the Islamic calendar.  The book denounces violence and hatred, yet has been described as offensive by Amazon.  Meanwhile Amazon still sell copies of "Mein Kampf" (which advocates gassing Jews) and Amazon still sell books like "The Anarchist Cookbook" which (a bomb-making manual, the possession of which has led to terrorism charges in the UK).  Ebay has even banned the sale of used copies of Mohammed's Koran.  And from day one Google banned adverts for the book (instead the UK government spent a small fortune buying the top advertising slot to push their video begging people not to read the book).  Amazon staff are on record as saying that the order to ban the book came "from above Amazon". The propaganda from the state and the censorship from their tax-avoiding chums confirms the argument of Mohammed's Koran - the elite have knowingly invited this terrorist ideology into the West and they have sided with the terrorist ideology against the victims of terrorism.

With all this censorship you may not have heard of my new book (co-authored with Tommy Robinson). It was published at the end of July 2017.  The book went straight to No.1 on Amazon, and stayed there until the initial print-run of 5000 books sold out a few days later. For most of the following 18 months it was the No.1 best-selling Koran.  Muslims hated this fact.

The British media never reported on the book going straight to No.1.  They only reported on the book once sales of it had been banned.

Considering that Twitter and Facebook have banned me, YouTube has removed entire channels, and Google deliberately promotes Islam in discussions of Islam and terrorism, it's only right to do my social networking on a site that really seems to stand by the concept of freedom of speech.
